Youth Camp Trip (June 2025)

Thriving Multicultural Communities (TMC) was excited to provide young people with the opportunity to step away from their daily routines and immerse themselves in nature during the Youth Camp Trip 2025 at the beautiful Natural Bridge retreat hosted by Hipcamp Australia.

The weekend adventure brought together young people from diverse backgrounds for an experience focused on building confidence, developing life skills and creating meaningful connections. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Gold Coast hinterland, participants embraced the outdoors through hiking, team activities, campfires and a range of hands-on learning experiences.

Throughout the weekend, young people were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, work together and develop greater independence. Whether navigating hiking trails, helping with camp activities, or supporting one another through new challenges, participants demonstrated resilience, teamwork and a willingness to learn.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the trip was seeing friendships form and strengthen. Away from the distractions of everyday life, participants had the opportunity to connect with others, share stories and build relationships in a supportive and welcoming environment. The campfire gatherings quickly became a highlight of the weekend, providing a space for reflection, laughter and memorable conversations.

Beyond the fun and adventure, the Youth Hike Trip offered valuable opportunities for personal growth. Participants developed greater confidence in their abilities, strengthened their communication skills, and gained a deeper appreciation for the benefits of spending time in nature. For many, it was a chance to try something new, challenge themselves, and discover what they are capable of achieving.

The Youth Camp Trip 2025 was a wonderful reminder of the positive impact that outdoor experiences can have on young people's wellbeing, resilience, and sense of belonging. TMC looks forward to creating more opportunities for young people to connect, learn and grow through future camps and outdoor adventures.
