Ageing Gracefully Seniors Expo (December 2025)

Thriving Multicultural Communities (TMC) was proud to host the Ageing Gracefully Seniors Expo at the Southport Community Centre, bringing together seniors, service providers, community organisations and local residents for a day focused on connection, wellbeing and community engagement.

The free event was designed to provide older members of the community with access to valuable information, resources and services that support healthy ageing, social inclusion, and independence. Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to explore a range of information stalls, participate in engaging activities, and connect directly with organisations offering support for seniors across the Gold Coast.

The expo created a welcoming and inclusive environment where community members could learn more about local services, ask questions, and discover opportunities to become involved in programs and activities that enhance wellbeing and quality of life. From health and community support services to social and recreational opportunities, the event showcased the wide range of resources available to help seniors remain active, informed and connected.

A key highlight of the expo was the opportunity for attendees to meet service providers face-to-face, building relationships and increasing awareness of the support available within the community. The event also encouraged social connection, providing a space for participants to meet new people, share experiences and strengthen community networks.

The Ageing Gracefully Seniors Expo reflects TMC’s ongoing commitment to supporting older people from all backgrounds to remain engaged, connected and empowered within their communities. Through initiatives such as the Ageing Gracefully program, TMC continues to create opportunities that reduce social isolation, promote inclusion, and support positive ageing outcomes.
