Serves up fun, friendship and friendly competition

Shuttlecocks were flying and smiles were everywhere as community members came together for the TMC Harmony Badminton Tournament 2025, a day filled with friendly competition, community spirit and plenty of fun on and off the court.

Held at Southport State High School and proudly supported by Multicultural Affairs Queensland, the tournament brought together players from diverse cultural backgrounds to connect through sport and enjoy a healthy dose of competition. From the first match to the final rally, participants showcased determination, sportsmanship and a shared passion for badminton.

While players competed for the top spots, the true success of the event was the sense of connection and camaraderie that developed throughout the day. Whether competing, cheering from the sidelines, or catching up with friends, everyone contributed to the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that has become a hallmark of TMC community events.

Congratulations to Tian, who claimed the Female Singles title, and Jing, who took out the Men's Singles competition after a series of impressive performances. A special congratulations also goes to Ella and Ivan for securing second place in their respective divisions and demonstrating great skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

TMC would like to thank all players, supporters, volunteers and organisers who helped make the tournament such a success. Your enthusiasm and positive energy made or a fantastic day of competition and community connection.

We look forward to seeing the tournament continue to grow and welcoming even more players back to the courts for future events.
