Community members came together on Saturday for the TMC Harmony Cricket Cup, a day filled with energy, friendly rivalry and plenty of community spirit both on and off the pitch. Proudly held as part of Multicultural QLD Month, the tournament brought five teams together in celebration of the cultures and connections that make our community so vibrant.

Throughout the day, players showcased skill, determination and great sportsmanship as they competed for the title. Just as importantly, the tournament reflected what these events are really about: bringing people from different cultural backgrounds together through a shared love of sport and building connection and camaraderie along the way.

Tournament Results

After a day of closely fought matches, GOPIO were crowned champions of the TMC Harmony Cricket Cup. Congratulations to the whole team on a well-earned win!

TMC would like to thank all five participating teams for their energy, sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the day:

  • Gold Coast Sri Lankans

  • GOPIO — Champions

  • Nepalese Community Gold Coast

  • ICGC

  • Jamaican Association of Queensland

A huge thank you as well to all the supporters, volunteers and organisers whose hard work and positive energy helped make the tournament such a success. Days like this are a wonderful reminder of the strength of our multicultural community and we're already looking forward to bringing even more teams together for next year's Cup.
