Celebrating Welcoming Week: Stories from the Kitchen!

A beautiful evening spent connecting with others who share our passion for building stronger, more connected communities.

As part of Welcoming Week, we were proud to be hosted by Welcoming Australia and City of Logan for Stories from the Kitchen, an event highlighting the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centres community and creating space for people to come together and share their experiences.

A Night of Meaningful Stories

Held at the brand new SSI Logan Hub, the evening gave us the opportunity to hear incredibly moving stories from people about their journeys and experiences coming to Australia.

Each story shared reminded us just how powerful it is to create spaces where people feel safe and supported to open up about their experiences and how much we can learn when we simply take the time to listen.

Why Events Like This Matter

Events like these are so valuable in helping us continue to build meaningful connections, strengthen our community network and learn from the diverse experiences of the people we work alongside.

We're grateful to Welcoming Australia, City of Logan and everyone at the SSI Logan Hub for bringing this event to life and to every person who bravely shared their story on the night.

We look forward to continuing to build on nights like this and to being part of a community that keeps growing stronger and more connected.
